Principal Software Engineer

• Build mission-critical backend service that deliver value to ZaloPay Core Systems. You will play important role in architecting, designing, developing, and operationalizing high performance, scalable, reliable and resilient message system.
• Troubleshoot and debug technical issues inside a deep and most complex technical stack that includes micro services, monoliths, containers and baremetal deployment.
• Ensure operational readiness of the services and meet the availability and performance SLA commitments to our users.
• Gather requirement, build delivery plan, execute the implementation toward expectation.
• Understand must-have requirements for critical backbone services: SLA, monitoring, high availability, scalability and high performance.

• 5+ years of working experience in designing, building and supporting backend systems with a solid grasp on good software engineering practices such as code reviews, deep focus on quality, and documentation.
• Have directly working experience with mature message brokers/queue such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or equivalent in term of building, customizing, optimizing, designing common client library that would support transparently server version such as upgrading, monitoring, tracing, message routing and priority, etc.
• Experience in reviewing message broker deployment to optimize network latency, disk IO
• Strong programming and algorithmic skills. Proficiency in a major programming language.
• Experience working with major cloud vendors: AWS, Azure or Container orchestration solutions such as Kubernetes.
• BS, MS in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
