• Position Overview
Key Accountabilities
The Process Engineering officer is responsible to assist Process Engineering Manager to implement TiPS elements (System Management, 6S, Leader Standard Work, Process Check, Process Standardization, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping, Daily Accountability, Root Cause Analysis, Work Force Strategy, Gemba Walk) on floor effectively, to identify the potential “Continuous Improvement” and Value Optimization projects, suggesting suitable methodologies in executing the same in accordance with company Policy and Procedure, to implement TiPS initiatives as per the roadmap and action plan to meet departmental goals and objectives.
• Support Process Engineering Manager to drive the TiPS concepts of 6S, Visual Control, Process Standardization, LSW, Process Check, VSM, Daily Accountability, Root Cause Analysis (4M, PDCA, 5Why), Kaizen, JIT (Just-In-Time), Gemba walk, Work Force Strategy
• Follow up TiPS implementation on floor to ensure it is maintained and sustainable and identify improvement opportunities
• Work closely with departments to understand issues, difficulty, opportunities in TiPS implementation and provides necessary support or raise discussion for solution
• Be the communication liaison between the floor teams, colleagues and management
• Collect data from all department to prepare TiPS monthly report and update into TiPS deployment board
• Assist PE Manager to proceed projects, identify potential risks and issues relating to the delivery of the projects and manage resolution process in a timely manner and, only escalating major issues
• Deployed E-Gemba Platform and other E-apps related to departments and knowledge transfer to other locations to apply for the same
• Provide feedback to all department in TiPS activities
• Being an exemplar in demonstrating all required skills and knowledge on Lean aspects to team members
• To help plants in identifying the potential “continuous improvement” & value optimization
• Work with PE Manager to review on all Lean assessments modules and make plan to bring other all Operational Plants to standards in executing all the assessments.
• Involve in deployment of TiPS initiative on floor as per the roadmap and action plan
• Support Process Engineering Manager to manage IDEAS Platform, Virtual tours, manage E-Gemba Platform, 6S activities, TiPS Campaign and other assigned duties from time to time
