Job summary
Supervise procurement strategy/plans, identification of business requirements, supplier tender process and procurement activities to ensure sourcing of suppliers and stocks that meet business requirements relating to indirect goods/services especially marketing activities.
Responsibilities
Facilitate the claim resolutions process, activities and communication. Support Quality Assurance, Legal, Compliance and management in minimizing liabilities and financial exposure
Guide team to ensure effective delivery of team’s goals
Work closely with suppliers, etc. to ensure the accuracy of quantity, quality and timely delivery.
Coordinate the supplier tender process, including evaluation, selection, contract negotiation and finalization, adhering to ethical business practices. Execute the contract renewal/discontinuation process
Facilitate the gathering of inputs on business requirements/specifications based on sales/ marketing trends, stock planning/forecasts, etc. Conduct preliminary supplier analysis, aligning it to business requirements that cater to business needs
Execute procurement plans that will result in cost savings and greater economies of scale in line with the Group&039;s procurement framework
Drive self-learning and improvement in the area of procurement/contract management/vendor management and DKSH behaviors as part of continuous learning
Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources
Drive learning and development of team in the area of procurement/contract management/vendor management and DKSH behaviors to achieve team/function goals
Prepare purchasing reports (e.g. monthly total purchases, monthly stock position reports, price increase reports, etc.) for accountability purposes
Supervise the tracking of orders/shipment progress and check stock quantities/quality/pricing against that agreed. Rectify any stock variances and discrepancies in stock quality
Supervise the preparation of purchasing documentation (e.g. purchase orders, contracts, etc.) and validation of suppliers&039; documentation. Review documentation that triggers the payment process (e.g. goods received note, payment voucher, proof of performance etc.)
Update internal stakeholders on stock variance, delivery, quality, delays, stock available dates, etc. and follow up on impending issues to cater to stakeholders&039; needs
