Program Coordinator

Programming for Children: in Vietnamese language
The Library Project is looking for an energetic candidate to join our team! The Program Coordinator role will help us develop and implement Vietnamese language literacy-based programming. The selected candidate will create new and innovative literacy programs for children and conduct them in Vietnamese language directly with students at rural schools in southern Vietnam! This position will also create new teacher trainings for Vietnamese teachers, work with local government, build partnerships with other NGOs and conduct monitoring and evaluations. -Design engaging and creative Reading Programs for various ages
-Create curriculum for teachers regarding library management and usage
-Work with our staff to design online materials
-Create various Literacy Programs for different subjects and ages,
Monitoring and Evaluation:
-Write internal and external evaluation reports
-Conduct post-assessment evaluations
-Design pre and post surveys for schools
-Conduct monitoring via direct contact with teachers and schools after donations
Purchasing:
-Update book selection on rolling basis
-Work directly with furniture distributors
-Work directly with publishers in Vietnam
Government Capacity:
-Ensure all the work we do is pre-approved by government
-Ensure all documentation needed for organization, government and donor are complete
-Hold meetings with provincial government for updates
-Work directly with provincial and central government
Other Duties:
-Assistance adjusting budgets as needed
-Help create literacy partnerships within Vietnam with other NGOs
-Assist with fundraising as needed

-University degree (preferably in education)
-Fluent in both Vietnamese and English (IELTS 6.5 or higher)
-Vietnamese national only
Desirable:
-Experience working directly with Vietnamese students
-Candidate with Education degree from Vietnamese university
-Experience working with Vietnamese teachers
-Understanding of public school setting in Vietnam, especially in rural areas
-Experience creating curriculum for primary students
Other:
-Works well with a team
-Excited about improving education in Vietnam
-Positive attitude
-Driven and ambitious
-Can work with little instruction
Other information about this position:
This is a full time, salaried position. General working hours are M-F daytime. Some travel is required for this position.
