To be successful in this role, you will possess project management skills with ability to meet deadlines while juggling several projects concurrently. Your experience in implementation of health projects will be looked at favourably. In addition, you will demonstrate your excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills and good attitude to working in a team environment.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The project coordinator is accountable for the coordination and implementation of eye care projects, working with implementing partners in Viet Nam for the strategic planning, design, and operational delivery of The FHF Viet Nam’s programs that align with The Foundation’s strategic framework.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The project coordinator will own the outcomes of:
• Conducting regularly monitoring of the assigned project to ensure the project implementation at high cost-effectiveness and quality; documenting good lessons learnt for replication; preparing case stories for reporting purposes and contributing to improve teamwork and core values of The Foundation.
• Identifying and building partners’ capacity and supporting partners with timely mobilization of goods and services to initiate and complete activities.
• Ensuring line manager and relevant team members are made aware of relevant meetings, forums etc. taking place in the project and non-project areas.
• Other tasks as requested by your line manager.
• Working with line manager and technical teams to advocate and strengthen the eye care service quality and health systems in the country.
• Supporting the implementation of approved projects in accordance with Project Design Documents and approved budgets to ensure the project goal and outcomes are achieved within the timeframe.
• Working with the project and country teams to successfully improve equitable access to and utilisation of quality eye care services for underserved and at-risk populations.
• Supporting implementing partners to prepare annual financial budgets, plan and monitor monthly expenditures against budgets, and ensure timely submission of monthly financial reports.
• Advising line manager solutions for any deviation from planned activities that may occur.
• Supporting line manager to ensure that project activities are timely planned, implemented, monitored, and reported through submission of quality quarterly and annual reports.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
• Proven ability to influence and work collaboratively with partners/stakeholders.
• Experience in the implementation of health projects and required outcomes.
• Managing outcomes through partners and relationships with key stakeholders
• Strong experience in project design, management, budget development and monitoring.
