Job purpose:
Gameloft for Brands R&D Producer is mainly responsible of overseeing the development of new and innovative solutions and experiences.
He is in charge of managing the entire process of research and development (from the first pitch proposal to the release), collaborating with other teams, allocating human resources and controlling project status to ensure that projects meet their deadlines and match Gameloft’s high quality standards.
Accountabilities:
Project Management and Support
Conduct post-mortem analysis to learn from both successes and mistakes in order to improve processes and establish best practices.
Be solution oriented and find workarounds in ‘showstopper’ situations;
Coordinate Support Teams / External Stakeholders (Ads Server, Backend Teams…) to ensure the smooth implementation of missing and needed feature into Gameloft Games;
Have a deep interest in everything high-tech; be able to update himself/herself with the latest hardware and software possibilities to find possible solutions and can identify opportunities
Have an excellent understanding of web and mobile technical possibilities and limits as well as Gameloft Games constraints to ensure it will bear the best performance possible for the user;
Coordinate the R&D team (Programmers) with Artists and Quality Assurance effectively in order to track project’s progression, team’s productivity, solutions performance and quality;
Be able to make/update plans with accurate estimations of tasks durations and clear milestones, taking into account task dependencies and targets to reach;
Be the key contact of his/her projects; communicating fluently, clearly and concisely;
Have the ability to foresee issues/risks of the different projects in development and take immediate preventive actions to avoid them;
Have a good understanding of digital best practice; be able to suggest, pitch and convince an internal audience made of both production-oriented and business-related employees of the interest of developing specific solutions;
Be able to apprehend complex technical issues and transcript them in layman’s terms for non tech savvy people;
Be able to provide clear and complete status of the project to upper management and stakeholders (HQ Producer, Business teams…);
Resource Management
Coordinate the team wisely and pro-actively, in order to ensure smooth implementation of the assigned projects;
Know team members&039; strengths and weaknesses, and assign suitable tasks and responsibilities to the right persons, allowing them to give their best;
Take care of the morale, motivation, working behavior of team members in order to make them fully committed to the project as well as to comply with studio regulations; when needed, raise issues with Department Heads and HR for suitable solutions;
Actively propose and implement suggestions/ideas to control/reduce Turnover and Overtime in the team;
Proactively coach and develop team members to drive them to the best performance in collaboration with Department Heads (Programmer, Game Designer, Artist, Quality Assurance): define training needs, organize the workshop within the team, facilitate the team members to join the training courses organized by company
Organize team building activities.
Analyze in a proactive way team issues and fully understand the circumstances to take proper measures from relevant perspectives;
Organize brainstorming sessions with team-members and Creative team in order to propose new, innovative experience that match brand’s expectations, an/or current mobile game trends;
Work with Gameloft for Brands R&D Senior Producer and other internal departments (Quality Assurance, Game Design, Artists, Hardware, Administration) to organize resources allocation for his/her projects, in order to optimize the available resources, and maximize the productivity of the team;
Be able to evaluate staff&039;s performance and give them clear SMART objectives in order to guide them and improve their skills;
Contribution in Management
Actively raise ideas/solutions to prevent/solve problems in game production, to improve working processes, methods of management, coordination between teams (inside and outside the Studio), as well as studio organization in general;
In collaboration with Department Heads (Programmer, Game Designer, Artist, Quality Assurance), evaluate team members during evaluation periods in a constructive way, pointing out their strengths and weaknesses; identifying good elements and improve team members that are still under expectations.

Knowledge
Good knowledge of Streaming is a plus;
Web design and coding (JS/C) knowledge is a definitive plus!
Excellent knowledge of web and mobile development and new technologies
Good understanding of iOS and Android platforms (ex: main features, devices specifications…);
Good understanding of Video Game Production processes;
Good knowledge of Cloud AWS hosting is a plus;
Good knowledge of Machine Learning (recognition, AR/VR/XR, …) is a plus;
Good knowledge about Web and Game Security is a plus;
Good understanding of digital trends and standards (web, mobile); having worked in a creative agency is a plus!
Good knowledge of Game Server (multiplayer) is a plus;
Hard Skills
Risks Analysis: able to foresee issues and take immediate preventive actions;
Having KPI (R&D department and at Studio G4B level) objectives and delivery results at heart: this position is not only about research, but also development and provide clean and functional deliverables ; know how to make planning and use resources effectively based on project’s constraints (scope, resources, deadline);
Excellent organization skills: be able to juggle between several projects simultaneously, and deal with on the spot requests whenever necessary. Prioritize tasks and define clear milestones and objectives. Manage time and workload to avoid overloading or disorganization;
Soft Skills
Be able to find solutions to efficiently solve issues or emergencies;
Think out of the box : strong ability to propose new ideas, be able to innovate and improve existing formats in order to generate the user experience possible;
Result-oriented and with positive mindset in order to overcome obstacles and reach challenging objectives;
Leadership: inspire others to higher standards of performance. Know how to motivate team members, encourage initiatives, recognize and reward in proper way good performance or contribution;
Able to handle pressure and to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines;
Common sense: face new situations with an open-minded attitude: demonstrate flexibility of thinking.
