Job Purpose
A project manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects within MBAL, from the initial ideation through to completion. Project manager coordinates people and processes to deliver projects on time, within budget and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Project delivery
Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needed
Motivate people involved in the project to complete tasks on time
Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
Determine and define project scope and objectives
Track project costs in order to meet budget
Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
Communicate with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
2. Project Governance
Facilitate dependency management across the projects and programs
Recommend policies, and procedures by evaluating outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends of assigned project/program
Share information, good practice and expertise with others
Perform other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the Line Manager in order to meet department objectives.
Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing PMO standards.
Support the review and analysis of completed programs/projects, including the coordination of post implementation reviews
Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
