QC Supervisor

***Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Conduct Quality Assurance and Control (QA/QC) of in- and outbound materials and formulations as well as product.
- Write reports and submit same to the quality control manager
- Co-operate with government agencies during inspections in order to meet and maintain high production standards
- QC of incoming materials.
- Find solutions to customers’ complaints and feedbacks
- Collect regular samples for shelf life and analysis at the laboratory
- Record and analyse production data and test results as required
- Ensure that no expired raw material is used for production
- Monitor every stage of production to avoid product defects
- Constant updating of job knowledge by reading technical publications, participating in seminars and other educational opportunities
- Approve finished products for onward shipment to the market
- Maintain all documentation for the purpose of auditing
- Ensure measuring equipment are functioning properly and calling for repairs where equipment are faulty
- Report bottlenecks to the Operations Management
- Proper assessment of suppliers.
- Remove bad products that are discovered during the production process
- Work with the management and production managers to ensure that only quality products are produced
- Recommend modifications to already existing production standards within the limits of available equipment capacity and capability
- Focus on corrective actions in order to make sure that products meet required specifications
- Help to check and update quality control policies
- Work with the Product Development and Operations Management regarding specific information relating to product information and production
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with SOPs and established Safe Work Practices.
- Engage in quality calibrations and internal audits in a professional manner
• Support the technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing facilities.
• Troubleshooting manufacturing processes and equipment and analyze technical data and documents.

***Required Education:
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or related scientific discipline.
***Knowledge and Experience:
• Possess problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and quality control standards
• Computer skills especially in the use Microsoft Word, Excel and
• Speaks English is a must and Mandarin at basic level
• Thorough understanding of methods and processes involved in manufacturing
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• End use experience – such as developing foams for footwear, automotive, seating or bedding applications is a bonus
• Knowledge about measurement and test equipment
• Attention to detail with clear and complete documentation skills
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on industrial experience with polyurethane foam production
• Ability to work well in a team
• Well skilled in quality processes and also statistical techniques
• Data management is a plus
• Ability to interpret instructions whether written, spoken, or in a diagram
