Quality and Performance Improvement Officer

1. Performance Improvement:

· Providing secretarial support of the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety committee; attending meetings and undertaking the role of secretary

· Carry out Performance Improvement Project- PDCA Policy & Procedure effectively and manage all FVH Performance Improvement projects: supervise, document and monitor

· Collect and analyze data of Performance Improvement projects and quality indicators from departments

· Support Quality & Performance Improvement manager to work with departments in order to establish the Quality Indicators, Performance Improvement projects and CPGs compliance monitoring

· Manage in quality indicators & Performance improvement project’s issues and makes gap analysis and recommendations for corrective action in collaboration with other teams in Quality Management department

· Monitor the quality corner boards of departments in the hospital

· Support in data analysis for other teams in Quality Management department and quality director if needed

2. Other duties and responsibilities assigned by Quality & Improvement manager and Quality director from time to time

1.     Qualification:

-          First Medical Degree (MBBS) 

-          Software Packages: experience and competence in, e.g. statistical analysis, form design, database software (Excel, SPSS, Epidata, etc…)

2.     Experience/ Kinh nghiệm:

-          Recent experience in a medical quality

-          Knowledge or experience of JCI standards in an hospital setting

-          Training and presentation experience

-          Performance Improvement tools

3.     Skills and knowledge:

-          Sound knowledge of JCI standards

-          Understanding of quality principles, performance improvement tools, continuous learning, patient focus, plus teamwork and partnering skills

-          Planning and organizational abilities, e.g.:

o    Highly motivated self-starter;

o    Ability to priorities workload and work flexibly;

o    Ability to meet deadlines with tight timescales.                                   

-          Interpersonal /Communication Skills:

o    Ability to relate well both verbally and in writing with staff all levels in the organization

o    Ability to work effectively within different teams;

o    Ability to give clear oral presentations and training in both groups and individually;

o    Ability to write clear reports appropriate to requirements.

-          Demonstrated capacity for embracing change and learning new technologies

-          Excellent organizational abilities, prioritize projects, handle a multitude of activities simultaneously, and pay thorough attention to detail.

-          Able to work on own initiative

-          Team player and able to take leadership role if requested

-          Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems
