Quality Manager

* Essential Job Functions:
- Drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing systems and process improvements that optimize all phases of the production process; be actively involved in the development and implementation of long-term quality improvement plans.
- Support the business in development and implementation of quality procedures and systems throughout the manufacturing process.
- Support the manufacture and delivery of quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Create efficiency and accuracy in all customer related processes.
- Reduce scrap and improve plant performance.
- Collaborate with partners on their existing quality/production requirements to maximize efficiencies, expectations, and output.
- Lead for customer quality issues - provide technical inputs for root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Seeks out opportunities to improve team member knowledge base. Coordinates training, education programs, and mentoring relationships.
- with leadership to develop a plant C.I. Plan, driving breakthrough or Best-in-Class performance with either:
+ Just Do It improvements
+ Six Sigma projects
+ Lean Implementation projects.
- Establishes and continuously benchmarks against KPIs
- Assist Plant Manager in any strategic initiative that will help maintain compliance to standards, implementing new systems, and designing creative solutions that will continuously improve the plant.
- Utilize data-driven, structured problem-solving tools, including Six Sigma to improve process capability, reduce variation and optimize performance
- Implement appropriate visual controls to ensure lasting results, including, standard work, improvement opportunity walks and process audits
- Identify and leverages best practices across functional lines throughout the organization
- Recommend areas for investigation and modes of corrective action and initiate action.
- Direct and train employees in the fundamentals of continuous improvement using appropriate process improvement tools and methodologies.
- Maintains organized documentation of all technical information, conversations, decisions and approvals pertinent to proposal and project development.

* Qualifications:
- Must have five years process improvement experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in the automotive industry).
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, lean manufacturing or related field preferred.
- Proficient with computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, etc.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
- Has solid leadership skills and able to manage both vertically and horizontally operations background as a supervisor or manager.
- Operations background as a supervisor or manager.
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese with ideal candidate also fluent in Korean.
- Ability to relocate to Vietnam.
