Research Manager (English and Chinese Speaking) (Salary Up To $5000)

The research teams are made up of experienced due diligence analysts with international backgrounds. As well as full-time employees based in the Hong Kong office, a number of remote full-time employees and local associates are located in the jurisdictions we cover.
We are helping our client look for a Research Manager who is experienced due diligence professional to head the Asia Pacific research teams, most of which are based in Hong Kong.
The work done by these teams is a mix of public domain and human source research. The geographical locations and languages covered extend across Greater China and South-East Asia - including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
Being a Research Manager, you will manage teams of 19-20 members across Asia countries. Your responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end production (from initiation to completion) of due diligence projects by Asia Pacific Regional research teams
• Train and guide research teams to build capabilities and skills necessary for research activities.
• Ensure that there are sufficient resources and tools in place to meet the volume demands for TSG’s products.
• Be part of the recruitment process for Asia Pacific research teams.
• Ensure team members are kept fully appraised of all matters about which they should be informed – in a timely manner.
• Deliver regular management reports to regional and global managers on the production and delivery of projects.
• Personally quality review high-end reports, and ensure all other Asia Pacific Region projects meet the high standards expected by TSG and its clients
• Manage the performance of each Asia Pacific research team together with the performance of individuals within each team.
• Work with the Asia Pacific Region leads to achieving Asia Pacific Region’s financial targets and strategic goals
• Ensure there are effective processes and systems in place capable of facilitating the delivery of high-quality projects.
• Assist with improvements to processes and delivery to better meet client expectations

Your skills and experiences:
• Experience conducting quality control and content reviews
• Excellent English writing skills – especially report writing
• Chinese fluency (either Cantonese or Mandarin)
• Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office software including Word
• Fluency in English written (Simplified and Traditional) and spoken
• Good managerial and leadership skills
• Ability to work remotely and manage remotely.
• Ability to work in an environment where levels of work are constantly changing
• Strong analytical skills
Nice to have:
• Due Diligence, AML, KYC proven experience
• Background from Linguistic, Journalistic, or Languages Faculty at the University may be a good fit for us
