JOB SUMMARY
This staff member will join a dynamic research group running clinical research into dengue and emerging infections. This position will be based at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Ho Chi Minh City, under supervision of the study doctor and study manager. The main work will be to support the study doctor to enroll, monitor children and adult patients with dengue and septic shock.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Understand the study protocols.
2.Prepare all study supplies and documents required for the study.
3.Support clinicians in recruiting and monitor patients.
4.Support clinicians in completing the case report forms (CRFs)
5.Ensure that study specific samples are collected, processed and transferred to the OUCRU.
6.Prepare study supplies and documents required for follow-up visits.
7.Photocopy study documents as required.
8.Maintain good communication with collaborating hospital staff, ensure participants’ wellbeing, compliance with study protocols and quality of clinical data.
9.Other tasks as required

This post is based in Ho Chi Minh City
HOURS OF WORK
37.5 hours per week, extra hours may be required.
TENURE
Initially for one year, include of 2 month probation, with possibility of extension.
REPORTING TO
Study Doctor and Study Coordinator

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
•Nursing diploma
•≥ 2 year experience in a Ho Chi Minh City government hospital
•Excellent written and spoken Vietnamese
•Ability to work closely with other study staff and hospital collaborators
•Good attention to detail in following protocols and keeping records
•Basic computer skills, particularly MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
•Basic English listening and reading skill.
DESIRED CRITERIA:
•Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice Guidelines

•Contracted salary: Negotiable (depending on actual experience and education).

•Two months’ salary for annual bonus and clothes
•Annual leave 18 days each year for the first year
