Security Engineer

As a security engineer , you will join us as a foundational member of the team and provide leadership in all areas that relate to security and reliability. You‘ll be integrated within the platform team and work directly with site reliability engineers and software engineers to address the challenges we currently face and to prepare for the next phase of our growth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Assists in the development, implementation, and day to day maintenance of IT security & control infrastructures.
• Provides on staff consulting for security requirements in system development activities, policies, standards and procedures.
• Conducts routine information security procedures including, documentation, metrics reporting, change control, maintaining ticketing queues, vulnerability scanning, assessment, vulnerability management, etc.
• Researches and recommends security solutions and products and implements new security controls. Maintains knowledge of applicable IT security practices.
• Collaborate with our engineering team to detect and resolve security problems

• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant security and network experience
• One or more senior information security certifications (CISSP, CISA, CEH, CISM, GIAC)
• Experience in at least one of the following disciplines: Endpoint Security (AntiVirus/AntiSpyware/IPS), Web Content Filtering, Application Aware firewalls, and/or Encryption, Security Event/Incident Monitoring
• Experience working with cloud security and governance tools, and server virtualization technologies.
• Sound technical writing, documentation, and communication skills are required. Strong understanding of enterprise, network, system and application level security issues.
• Understanding of enterprise computing environments, distributed applications, and a strong understanding of TCP/IP networks
• Understanding of the system hardening processes, tools, guidelines and benchmarks
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
