Job Description/Summary:
This position is responsible for monitoring the security operations for the resort by implementing security policies, regulations, rules, and norms and make sure that the environment in the hotel is safe for employers, staff and visitors. He /she shall be instrumental in preventive safety and all HSE related matters, including natural disasters and fire prevention. He/she acts as a protector of all hotel property, preventing theft and illegal trespassing.
Features to work in this position:
Could come from Police force and should have previous security management experience. Preferably a university graduate, having 5 years of experience as a manager in his / her field, who can speak a foreign language (English is preferred), has managerial skills, is successful in human relations, can think analytically, can report, shows importance to staff training, can use initiative, has strong planning and organization skills, have effective leadership skills and organizational skills, are prone to teamwork in collaboration
MAIN AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Tasks:
•To pay utmost attention to the principles, principles and rules of TUI BLUE while performing its duties.
•To act in accordance with TUI principles, principles and rules while performing its duties.
•To follow the rules on standard uniform grooming, personal appearance and hygiene for his entire team.
•In all the works to be done first, to pay attention to their health, then the health of guests and friends, to comply with the hotel's Environmental Management, Food Safety and Occupational Safety criteria.
•To prepare and distribute job descriptions for the personnel assigned to him in security.
•To ensure the participation of its personnel in the basic trainings prepared by Human Resources.
•To cooperate with Accounting and General Manager in security department budget works.
•To be in coordination with the Human Resources Manager and the General Manager in matters such as personnel selection and recruitment, job change, promotion, salary applications, dismissal.
•To ensure preventive security & safety with no incidents throughout the entire property.
•Check and approve the work schedules of the personnel.
•To prepare and implement in-service training programs of personnel.
•To ensure the necessary coordination with the relevant units of the hotel regarding the control of fire and sabotage hazards.
•To act as the hotel ambassador when it comes to police, as well as fire brigade and all relating ministries and licensing issues.
•Check in and check out all vehicles and visitors entering and leaving the hotel.
•To be responsible for the order and security of the vehicles in the hotel parking lot, all drive ways, including but not limited to receiving of goods and deliveries.
•To ensure that the hotel safety & security rules are applied to the personnel in and out, including but not limited to strict enforcement of the gate pass documentation and daily bag checks for all staff.
•To intervene in all events that may occur in the hotel and to coordinate with the local law enforcement officers when necessary within the knowledge of the General Manager.
•To take necessary measures on special days related to terror prevention.
•Correspondence with the Official Authorities with the approval of the General Manager and preparing documents.
•To provide assistance in a possible marine accident and to inform the Coast Guard in major accidents.
•To show necessary sensitivity in rainy and stormy weather and taking necessary precautions to work in coordination with Technical Manager and Housekeeping.
•To create industrial relations with all Security Managers of the neighboring hotels to intervene in the events that may occur and to hold meetings for this purpose and to be in close contact with the local police.
•To follow the list of all hotel staff that have left or been dismissed, making sure they are being prevented for reentering the property compound.
•To take necessary security measures by intervening in the events that may occur in the lodging.
•To be in coordination with Purchasing and General Manager in determining the material and equipment requirements required for the Security Department.
•Conduct daily briefings and weekly meetings with security personnel and exchange information.
•To be in coordination with the Technical Service and the General Manager regarding the maintenance, repair, needs determination and implementation of the Security Department.
•To ensure staff on patrol is following strictly their schedules and daily reports are being consolidated into one summary daily report for higher management.
•First degree responsibility for the implementation of the private security law no 5188.
•To prepare monthly rosters, attendance sheets and payrolls for all security personnel.
•To have regular health checks of all security personnel.
•To apply the rules of Waste Management within the Department, ensuring that all security staff participate actively and daily in making sure no litter / rubbish is found anywhere within public areas of the resort.
•To control the work of the working subcontractors in accordance with the subcontractor management principle.
•To ensure that personal protective equipment is used where necessary to ensure the personal safety of its subordinates, and that these materials are periodically maintained and cleaned.
•To have cordial relations with all official institutions and surrounding hotels and to fulfill the legal requirements in their areas of responsibility.
Miscellaneous:
•To fulfill the other duties assigned by General Manager and EAM for the hotel operation.
•To carry out all the tasks specified in this definition with a full understanding of team spirit and feeling the role of hosting at the top.
•To make sure all his staff receives proper training on effective guest contact related. Courtesy is key!
