Senior Data Translator

He/she is practical in the data analytics solution design and experiment / development approach and is open to using existing tools and software-as-a-service platforms.

Role DescriptionWe are looking for a data translator who has successfully developed and deployed data driven solutions (campaign / product analytics, business intelligence, or machine learning) to create measurable business impact.

The candidate needs to work closely with the business teams to analyze and find opportunities and have sufficient technical knowledge to provide guidance to the technical team members (eg data engineers, data scientists).

He/she understands the tradeoff among different qualities (e.g. accuracy, time to delivery, maintainability, scalability) in a solution design.

The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to create business impact through data analytics across multiple industries and business units.

Responsibilities
· Ensure hypotheses driven experiments are designed, conducted and analyzed effectively, to get insights and recommendations
· Lead the end to end solution delivery and the key stakeholders involved
· Serve as the link between business users and data scientists / engineers to experiment, develop, test and implement successful data driven solutions
· Support the execution of AB experiments both from both statistical and engineering requirements
· Translate business needs into tangible analytics requirements and design the potential end to end solutions
· Be the ambassador for enterprise-wide adoption of data and analytics capabilities
· Analyze business priorities and requirements and find opportunities where analytics can create business value

Qualifications and Requirements
· Experience in leading development projects in retail / consumer data analytics for business users is strongly preferred, e.g. campaign and product analytics, recommendation engine, promotion efficiency, price elasticity, shelf space and store network optimization, inventory forecast, supply chain analytics
· Strong statistical knowledge and analytical skills are required; practical knowledge in AB experiments, machine learning, data pipeline & architecture is highly preferred
· Excellent communications skills
· Degree holder with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in product/project management or consulting in data analytics
· Strong management and communication skills
· Ability to navigate in a sophisticated environment and achieve outcome
· Passion to help business with a ‘can-do’ attitude
· Strong retail / consumer background and business acumen
· Proven track record in analysing an existing customer journey and product design, identifying pain points and proposing data driven solutions
