Senior Java/Ruby Developer

As a Senior Java Developer at Unifiedpost Group, you will be a part of an agile development team and will be guiding the development team members to learn new tools and techniques and identify and implement system improvements. You will be also a part of a professional and competent team with deep product knowledge and work in close relationships with the Development teams, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Project Managers, and DevOps IT department to build qualitative data products.
Operational tasks:

Participates in analyzing and estimating new products and projects
Works closely with QA to build qualitative web applications
Prepares demo sessions for the stakeholders
Helps in preparing documentation on the software that was developed
Develops applications based on user stories

Organizational tasks:

Follows project requirements, quality standards, and deadlines as set in the project specifications
Depending on the level of expertise, takes part in the technical evaluation of candidates, trains, mentors, and coaches newcomers and colleagues to ensure knowledge sharing
Applies work procedures, guidelines, and instructions in performing the job responsibilities and task
Keeps confidentiality of all company information

Technical competencies:

Cloud: AWS (S3, KMS, etc.) and GCP
Redis
Familiar with tools like Jenkins, Maven, Vagrant, etc.;
Version Control: Git, GitFlow;
IDE: IntelliJ, Eclipse etc.;
Test frameworks: JUnit, Mockito, AssertJ;
Knowledge about distributed systems
Fullstack Java technologies: Java frameworks & libraries - Spring/Spring Boot, JavaEE (JBoss/WildFly), Play! Framework, Dropwizard, Liquibase, Quartz or Core Ruby knowledge.
Web Services: REST, SOAP;
Test-driven design, automated testing, and continuous integration;
Databases: SQL, NoSQL;
