Senior Project Manager

A. Principal duties:

- Management of global IT projects (scope, time, cost, quality, stakeholders)

B. Role and responsibilities:

- SPS Vietnam delivers projects to SPS affiliates in Europe and US.

- The Project Manager is responsible for managing the project team and to deliver projects as per agreed scope, timeline, budget and quality.

- The Project Manager leads the project through initiate (scope, requirements, planning, budget, etc.), phase, delivery phase, go-live, hypercare and project closure.

- The project team consists mainly of VN resources but also includes members from Europe and US. Typical project team size is 10 to 30 members.

- The Project Manager will be responsible for key projects, therefore there is regular interaction with Senior Management from various SPS affiliates.

- We are looking for a person who leads project, takes over full responsibility and ensure clarity and structure - which are the basis for building trust and managing scope, time, cost and quality.

- This is a challenging but also very rewarding position with strong growth potential, exposure and interesting global projects.

*** Education:
- University Degree in Finance or Business Administration.
- Formal project management qualification (PMP, Prince-2, CMMI, CSPO, etc.) is a strong advantage

*** Knowledge, skills and experience:
- 5 years or more of working experience in IT-related environment. 3 years or more project management experience
- Solid understanding of the software development

*** Soft-skills and attributes:
- Very strong project leadership skills:
- Can build trust with team and customer
- Proactive instead of reactive
- Takes over full responsibility for project but can also delegate
- Comfortable to make decisions
- Comfortable to challenge and push project team 
- Comfortable to push back and be very strict with customer
- Reliable and responsive
- Identifies and helps to fix gaps in process and/or way of working 
- Very strong English and overall communication skills. Must feel comfortable to represent the project in front of steering meeting
- Willing to work periods of flexible work hours as team and customers are working in different time zones (Europe / US) 
- Very strong analytical skills
- Very strong logical thinker, so can challenge solutions from a business/customer point of view.
