Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the Quality Management System is established, implemented, and maintained for effectiveness in accordance with applicable standards, including but not limited to ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 and ISO14001…
- Maintain compliance with all applicable Waste, Water and Air regulations through required preventative maintenance of the equipment, recordkeeping, preparation of report and plans.
- In charge for QMR and EMR at the company.
- Work with Production Management to apply pertinent Six Sigma Green/Black Belt attributes and other quality procedures appropriate to the business objectives.
- Prepare EHS reports as Government regulations.
- Responsible for creating an atmosphere of EHS excellence and delivering strong EHS performance.
- Lead the efforts to maintain and enhance the RCMS certification by working with global quality, EHS, registrars, and the sites.
- Ensure that all assignments are performed in compliance with Provincial and Company safety and health regulations, and where applicable, proper personal protective equipment is utilized.
- Lead internal quality audits, product/ process audits, safety patrol to monitor and measure the conformity and effectiveness of the QMS, EHS.
- Conduct EHS training for employees, contractors, and visitors as needed.
- Follow up with Corporate for Quality/ Environment Policy Targets and Objectives.
- Update, maintain and publish Audit Calendar.
- Lead ISO audits, Customer audits, Compliance audits and FDA audits.
- Reporting to Managing Director on the performance of the QMS, EHS, any on continuous improvement and problem resolutions.
- Lead the activities for the update, development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Quality/ Environment Management System programs, policies, processes, procedures, and controls to achieve the company’s objectives as well as compliance with Regulatory, Corporate and Customers.
Budget
- Preparation of annual budget including staffing, training requirements, calibration, certification, regulatory compliance, expenses.
- Management of the above throughout the year, flexing appropriately with business fluctuations.
People
- Maintain departmental roles with sufficient flexibility to allow for business fluctuations with the minimum staff possible.
- Skill assessment including skills gap analysis for both current and future need and employee development.
- Increasing productivity such that the sales/associate increases annually and Spartronics leads the Complex System group in this aspect.
- Annual review of succession planning.

Resource Provision
- Support cross department labor surge requirements to prevent unnecessary recruitment and to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Responsible to provide the appropriate, qualified staff to the project leader for identified projects. The project may include but are not limited to: Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement and Business Development efforts.
Reporting
- Responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of the status of department and the company including the identification and follow up of appropriate actions.
