- Display a high level of drive, energy and initiative in every aspect of their working performance. Shift Managers should lead from the front and “walk the walk” at all times
- Liase with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality and other departments to meet daily production schedules and performance targets
- Ensure risk reduction tools are used to identify and eliminate high risk activities
- Develop a high level of trust within the business through exemplary integrity in all actions
- Ensure 5S, Safety, productivity, quality & inventory as well at production line.
- Ensure the working area / environment conforms to required 5S and workplace organisational standards at all times
- Control all material input, productivity, scrap rate, rework rate, comsumbale
- Effectively train, coach and support team members in problem solving and resolution activities
- Responsible for the operation of an assigned area in terms of production, quality, cost, delivery, technical, safety, human resources, bad stock whilst respecting the defined goals.
- Empower and support teams to improve their work environment and eliminate any constraints
- Manage all aspects of the shift through collaborative working with the other Shift Managers for delivering, and where possible, exceeding, the key performance indicators within the operation.
- Drive and support production launch activities to ensure a quality and competitive start-up
- Establish people development as a core value to develop future leaders and grow organisational capability
- Select, develop and train Manufacturing team members to effectively execute operations to achieve business goals and targets
- Strive to continually improve using Lean tools to reduce costs, improve production and quality. Act independently at the organisational level.
- Drive and support all activities to ensure overall business objectives and targets are met or exceeded
- Support strategies to increase production at minimum cost and reduce structural cost activities
- Compliance to VinFast Manufacturing systems and processes
- Drive and lead safety initiatives while ensuring safe work practises and compliance to all local regulatory guidelines are met. Promote safe work practices as the highest priority and maintain a safe work environment
- Drive a right first time approach and foster a continuous improvement culture through the effective execution of lean manufacturing and quality systems
