Software Fullstack Developer (PHP, Java)

Docosan is an American health tech startup founded by Harvard University graduates and a medical doctor from Hanoi. We are building our team in Vietnam to launch a platform that will change the way that people access and experience healthcare. 

We are looking for a developer who wants not only to build an amazing product, but to change the lives of others for the better.

What you will do: 

• Be a crucial piece of a growing startup, helping pave the way for the future of product-engineering at Docosan.
• Design and build high impact features for our platform (Android, iOS, and web)
• Collaborate with team members to define, design, and ship new features
• Create dashboards to display metrics that inform key decisions made at the company
• Foster a strong culture of software engineering best practices by implementing processes and tools (code reviews, code quality, automation, CI/CD to monitoring)

Who you are: 

• A full-stack generalist with 2+ years experience building web and/or mobile applications.
• Experienced at writing clean, scalable code with significant experience in one or more programming languages.
• Comfortable with and curious about working outside of a traditional narrow engineering role.
• A self-starter: you have started something on your own before - a startup, an open-source project, or something else.
• You have an interest in healthcare and using technology to help people.

Technical Requirements: 

• Degree from a technical college
• You do not need to be an expert in all the languages we use in our stack, but you should be strong in at least one and a fast and willing learner for the rest.
  • Front end: Java, Kotlin, Swift/Object C
  • Back end: PHP (Laravel framework), REST APIs, MySQL
  • Infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including Firebase (experience highly valued!) and AWS
• Ability to communicate in English (conversational level is ok)
• Ability to read and write a specification in English
