Sourcing Specialist

*** Key Role:
As a Sourcing Specialist for Vanities and bath furniture to assist in our Southeast Asia sourcing expansion. This position will report directly to our Sourcing Vanity lead based in Vietnam and work closely with our staff at Ferguson Enterprises/ Signature Hardware / James Martin. This role is expected to accelerate the development of new factory sources for existing Globally Sourced Vanities and bath furniture for Ferguson as well as support Own Brand expansion of products and categories. This role will support the Ferguson Global sourcing team of Vanities and bath furniture in this geographical area.
*** Responsibilities:
• Vendor research Manage and maintain accurate details on vendors.
• Work directly with new vendor suppliers on accurate onboarding.
• Search out, identify and contact potential new vendors in Asia especially in SE Asia for new and existing products through trade shows, website like trading data or B2B, and personal visit.
• Follow Ferguson Global Sourcing SOP to process the sourcing activity
• Follow up the development of new projects, first sample and test sample.
• Should work closely with the US Sourcing/Category manager to align the product development and meet requirement and standard
• Negotiate pricing, supplier agreement, terms volume commitment and conditions with existing and new suppliers.
• Liaise with Director of Quality in Asia as well as Product Assurance team in Headquarters to assure that standards for quality and compliance are met.
 Review samples created from initial drawings. Provide report back to category manager with image for approval and communicate any comments, concerns or change with the factory.
- Review Master Sample for production: this would include all sizes and colors. These Samples should follow any changes required from the initial sample and will be used as the template for production. Provide report and picture to category manager for final approval.
- Continue communication during production process to ensure all is running smoothly and address any issues concerns. Any changes made to the product should communicated to the category manager prior to implementation and approval.
- Ensure merchandise is produced and shipped according to scheduling.
- Perform the first shipment Inspection of finished product with Quality team. Finished Product inspection should be random prior to packaging to ensure product meets specification.
- Review final packaging to ensure it meets packaging requirements per category manager’s direction
• Work directly with factories on product quality related issue and /or liability claims after shipment received.
• Assist in coordination and scheduling of in country visits for US Ferguson associate.
• Develop commercial project - work with the vendors to create drawings, prices, contact US office to confirm the details of commercial project. Follow up the production of the project.
• Work with the vendor engineers to complete CAD drawing, confirm the construction, materials, color finish and then send the drawings, pictures to US office for confirmation. Follow up the production of the samples.
• Act as translator for US Fergusons associates as needed during meeting with factories in country.
• Assist and supervise the documentation for Lacey act.

*** PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of three (5) years of experience is typically required to perform at expectation. Applies advanced knowledge of specific technical areas
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally
• Ability to effectively communicate in writing
• Candidate must be able to self-supervise to achieve daily goals
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) and effectively use Adobe Photoshop Illustrator, AutoCAD
• Bachelor or above degree
• Vietnamese and English language competency required
• Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to groups
• Ability to efficiently operate computers, tablets and mobile devices
• Ability to organize and prioritize work
