Spa Trainer

DAILY OPERATION
Work closely with Spa Manager and reception to ensure the smooth execution of services.
Ensure spa premise is clean and well maintained at all times.
Ensure through effective supervision, that services offered at the Spa are carried out with efficiency and courtesy.
Assist subordinates during peak periods and during shortage of manpower
Conduct daily inspection tours of the spa
Maintain and promote an atmosphere of tranquility and peace in spa areas at all times.
Ensure all guests and visitors to Spa leave with a pleasant experience.
Assist to interview, hire, supervise and evaluate therapists.
Oversee, supervise and monitor all facets of daily operations.
QUALITY OF SERVICES
Ensure that standard room set-up is maintained at all times.
Check that guest supplies are well maintained by therapists.
Ensure that the treatment procedures are adhered to by all therapists.
Ensure that therapists keep within treatment time allocated.
Ensure that therapist set up treatment rooms properly before any treatment.
GUEST INTERACTION
Ensure that guest is greeted according to standard procedures.
Ensure that guest comments or complaints are notified to the Spa Manager immediately.
Ensure that guest is comfortable during the treatment by monitoring air temperature, lighting, sun-light and music level.
Ensure that guest is greeted by their name as far as possible.
TRAINING & EVALUATION
To monitor and assess the technical performance of therapists and to schedule training where necessary.
To read and understand negative guest comments and to take corrective measures. If in doubt, to refer to Spa Academy for clarification or guidance.
To work with Learning Manager, Spa Academy, to identify training needs of respective outlets and to draw up a suitable training program.
PRODUCT PREPARATION
Be responsible for the preparation of products for treatments.
Ensure that preparation of products are done hygienically and according to recipes.
Ensure that all bottles (oil, gel, shampoo, body lotion) are washed regularly and the contents are fresh.
EMPLOYEE RELATION
Propose employees’ annual vacation and schedule Public Holidays, off-in-lieu during off-peak periods.
Build an efficient and productive team of employees by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety, training and development, and through effective counseling.
Ensure that the facility is adequately manned during peak periods.
Ensure all subordinates are punctual for duty and wear correct uniform with nametags on at all times.
Take appropriate disciplinary action against repeat offenders of company’s rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Ensure that all employees have a complete understanding of the spa and hotel’s policies and procedures, rules and regulation.
Ensure all subordinates project a professional image and pleasant disposition to enhance guests’ experience at all times.
Conduct periodical evaluation of employees’ performance and take appropriate corrective measures for improvements.

Flexibility and inter-departmental co-operation.
Overall quality of Spa cleanliness and treatments.
