Sr. Battery-Cathode Material Engineer (Cell Battery - for Expat)Urgent job

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Knowledge and test skills of SEM, XRD, Particle size determination
Lead engineers, scientists, & technicians, with under 5-year experience and train them
Perform crystal structure, microstructure, particle size, voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy, cycle life testing, and reliability tests to understand, and improve the performance of the anode, cathode, and solid electrolyte materials.
Locate/evaluate candidate Cathode Materials for high energy cell design, Anode materials will be a mixture of Silicon Anode & Graphite(450mAh/g, 550mA/g, 600mAh/g electrode ED design)
Cathode electrode design & development for 21700 cell type, Gen-1 (5Ah) & Gen-2 ( 6Ah), formulation, choice of binder.
Electrochemical tests skills such current, voltage, CV, impedance, GITT
Assemble lithium metal coin and pouch cells and conduct testing with a focus on repeatability
Cathode Material Development & IP analysis, and Internalization Plan and report to the supervisor
Locate/evaluate new cathode materials for solid-state batteries and select cathode materials for solid-state batteries.

Job requirement:
• Analyze and evaluate chemical and electrochemical data to determine direct and interaction effects of the materials under evaluation and execute root-cause analysis of failures and appropriate action incurred over course of development and launch.
• Provide engineering support to cell manufacturing teams in order to resolve manufacturing process issues.
• Selection, characterization, and validation of lithium-ion cell materials and components, (active materials, additives, electrodes, separators, electrolytes, etc.)
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality team in their communication with material suppliers, related to the development and validation of detailed material specifications for new materials, and the resolution of any quality issues
• Plan, develop and execute Design of Experiments for fabrication and testing of lithium-ion cells.
• Work closely with other R&D members to increase understanding of failure modes, performance and life expectancy of lithium-ion cells.
• Electrode optimization including formulation, coat weight, density, and porosity.
• Design, development, validation and analysis of lithium-ion cell components, assemblies, specifications and the full suite of Phase Gate Process.
• Propose cell and/or electrolyte design changes to optimize battery performance for different applications
• Develop and create report, comprehensive technical specifications, drawing and DFMEA.
Plus
• Over 5 years lithium ion cell development experience
• Cylindrical Cell Design (18650, 21700)
• Advanced knowledge of production processes in the area of EV and battery is a plus.
• Understanding on R&D, Pilot-line & Manufacturing
• High Energy Cell Design & Product Development using Silicon Anode Material
