Sr R&D Engineer/R&D Engineer

Development responsible for engineering projects run in VN
· Supplies process specifications to industrialization to build final production equipments
· Works closely together with Project manager, Production engineer, Quality engineer, Application engineer, and R&D Engineer in Europe where needed
· Responsible for the R&D deliverables defined by the Milestone system.
· Gives input to project manager about the feasibility, timeline, and risks regarding the technical part of the project.
· Creates the first draft work instruction for operation
· Leads product and process development using Lean Product Development method and Sonion Development Methodology (SDM) in order to bring the product to released status within the committed timeline and with the committed quality level and product cost.
Responsible Development Engineer for projects transferred from Europe from design freeze to product release.
· Takes care of deliverables/project tasks before the design freeze if the work packages are within the engineer’s competences and agreed on in the project team.
· Conducts product/process failure analysis in cooperation with production engineering. Drives all development related failure modes to a conclusion and implements the corrective actions.
· Is early involved in the development project as contributor to the process/product concept choice. Assesses the process feasibility of the concepts for production, inputs to the design FMEA, evaluates development samples produced in Vietnam, and shares knowledge about process implementation in production. Sets-up the preproduction line in cooperation with production engineering and drives the product to release status.
Development representative for released platforms and product variants
· is responsible for creating/updating the process validation and process specification for released TRD production lines
· is the first contact point as R&D support for the released platforms and variants regarding changes in products and processes
· is change request approvers in case of work instruction and materials change in CR system
Responsible for development samples
· Executes sample requests from R&D in Europe for development project with existing production equipment in VN with committed timeline and quality requirements
· Cooperates with Prototype Engineer and designer of industrialization in VN for making first article samples in engineering projects run from VN
Review work package of the project
· Supports to develop competencies of the product team about product, process development, etc.
· Reviews technical assessment of the work packages in the project charter. Assesses if work packages can handled by the product team in Vietnam, and propose staffing of resource.

Education:
Preferable: Master degree
Required: University degree, Technical
Knowledge of computer servicing: Microsoft Office, SolidWorks
Knowledge of foreign languages:
Preferred: English at Advance or IELTS at 7+ level
Required: English at Pre-Advanced or IELTS at 6+ level or equal

Professional experience: 3-5 years working experience in R&D/Engineering in the same industry
