The Purpose of Your Role
We’re seeking an analytical, creative, and insightful Sr SEO Specialist to grow traffic through organic search. The ideal candidate constantly seeks to hone their craft of SEO, stays up-to- date on industry trends, and is endlessly curious about customer behaviors. The SEO executive will partner with cross-functional teams and provide clear guidance on content and page-level optimizations. A successful candidate will develop strong relationships with content teams and embed in content workflows as an SEO subject matter expert.
The SEO Channel is a critical part of our audience acquisition strategy and in this role you have the opportunity to impact millions of individuals lives and families for the better through providing them health content that inspires and engages them.
Your Key Responsibilities
Content & On Page
Conduct research to understand search trends, organic traffic opportunities, and gaps in our search experience for ideation of new content & SEO methods.
Use Ahrefs and our own in-house tools to Identify popular keywords that have the best potential to rank highly and drive valuable traffic.
Advise and help the editorial team to optimize articles and other content types to ensure they have the potential to to rank highly in Google.
Onsite & Tech SEO
Auditing Google Search Console reports and statues to uncover any errors from Google and understand how our site is being crawled and indexed.
Using advanced, real-time SEO monitoring software, safeguard our website from issues that can cause adverse SEO effects, such as pages inadvertently noindexed, blocked, broken, redirected or content changing.
Analyse and audit our website for areas that can be improved and optimized to increase SEO performance using web crawling software and best practice checklists
Offsite SEO
Monitor our own backlink profiles using Ahrefs to understand the quantity, quality and types of links we are receiving and understand if they are naturally gained.
Research and analysis into viable off-page SEO strategies such as link building and execution of these with support from Regional SEO Team
Monitor other sites backlink profiles using Ahrefs to understand how we are performing against our competitors in Google Search Results
Analytics & Reporting
Analysing changes in SEO performance and carrying out investigations to understand where, why and how it has happened. Creating reports on your findings that will drive future content and SEO initiatives.
Use Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs and our own in-house dashboards to monitor SEO performance, identifying dips or increases in traffic
