System Assurance Engineer

Undertaking Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) Analysis such as, Hazard Analysis, , FMECA,
FTA, RAM Analysis & Prediction, and RAM Demonstration.
• Undertaking Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) assessment, testing, and compliance check at both system and subsystem levels.
• Undertaking Software Assurance activities.
• Assisting in System Assurance (SA) requirement management.
• Assisting in DRACAS / FRACAS implementation.
• Assisting the SA Manager with Project SA management and implementation, including the management of Hazard Log, participation in SA related internal / external audits, preparation of Project Safety Cases, System Safety Requirement Specifications and other System level SA documentations.
• Coordinating with the Consultants, system suppliers, and the system operator(s), as applicable.
• Reviewing the Subsystems SA activities and documentations.
• Other related SA duties, as assigned by the SA Manager.

3 years in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, System Assurance, EMC or Software Assurance 
• Strong experience/knowledge in: 
- Risk assessment and hazard identification for mechanical and electrical systems, preferrable for 
railway systems.  
- RAM analysis and demonstration. 
- EMC activities for either railway or heavy industry applications. 
- Software assessment, preferrable for safety-critical software functions. 
- Familiarization of SA-related international standards, e.g. IEC62278, IEC62279, IEC62425, 
- IEC62236 and IEC61000 series will be added advantages 
• Bachelor degree in Engineering / Science, at a minimum. 
• Certifications of reliability engineering will be added advantages. 
• Certificate/Demonstration of English proficiency (such as TOEFL, EILTS) if mother language is not English. 
Good command of written English.  
• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. 
• Computer skills are required with proven proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). 
• Ability to plan and manage SA activities and adhere to the project schedule. 
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. 
• Eager to learn and resourcefulness are necessary attributes.
