Systems Engineer

Position Summary
To design and maintain the systems architecture with redundancy and resilience, to ensure optimal performance for the offices and various environments (Production, Staging, etc). Also act as a duty shift position to provide uninterrupted and responsive support to operations 24x7.
Responsibilities
1. Manage and support office IT infrastructure, to ensure a smooth working environment for internal employees.
2. Manage and support offshore data centre remotely, to ensure constant uptime with optimal performance.
3. Provide desktop support to internal employees for any desktop related issues.
4. Manage and troubleshoot problem in Linux Platform (Web Server, Java Application Server, Database Server, Monitoring system)
5. Manage and troubleshoot problem in Microsoft platform (Windows 10/2012, AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP)
6. Ensure the Production systems environment is resilient and maintain 24x7 uptime in the challenge of nature/man-made fault.
7. This is a duty shift position where the candidate will work at different shift in rotational basis with team members.

Skill Requirements
Degree in IT/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related discipline.
At least 2 years of experience working in IT systems environment.
Core knowledge in Linux, Apache/Nginx, MySQL, VMWare, Server & Desktop support, Monitoring is required.
Essential knowledge in Windows, Ansible, Network, Web Technology, DNS, CDN & Cloud is preferred.
Knowledge in DevOps principle and Agile development is desirable.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written.
Able to work in a dynamic and ever-changing industry.
A self-initiated and pro-active team player who can work with minimal supervision.
