Training

Ensure factory Mechanics can service and maintain machinery specific to the company&039;s constructions.
Ensure factory management understand and adhere to the ‘Best Practice’ with regards to the number of production operatives and the layout of the production line.
Ensure all operatives trained can perform the respective operation to the standards set out in the SOP’s and have a working knowledge of machinery settings.
Ensure all supervisors trained have knowledge of the whole company&039;s construction and can run the production line to the standards set out in the SOP’s.

Development

Provide technical support during the trail and evaluation of new constructions to ensure smooth transition into bulk manufacture.
Create technical packs (SOP’s) for all new constructions to enable the smooth transfer to additional factories.
Provide technical support during the trial and evaluation of new and or existing materials to ensure smooth transition in bulk manufacture and or changes to manufacture.

R&D

Provide technical input into the research and development of new machinery, changes to existing machinery and or tooling in line with the development of new constructions.
Provide technical input into the research and development of new footwear constructions for the company.

A technically competent shoemaker with extensive knowledge of footwear constructions, materials and all areas of footwear and component manufacture
Good English required
Experience in training production staff on footwear operations
At least 5 years of experience working with Asian source factories
Experience in relation to setting and repairing of footwear machinery
Experience of working in a branded footwear environment with knowledge of product development, bulk manufacture, quality management procedures

Salary: Negotiated based on experience
