Technical Writer

Live Payments is seeking a talented and experienced Technical Writer to join our growing/multi- national team. Reporting directly to our Vietnam based PMO Lead, the Technical Writer will be responsible for creating high- quality technical documentation and user guides that effectively communicate complex technical concepts to our customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with cross- functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and subject matter experts, to gather information and transform it into clear and comprehensive documentation.
Core duties include:

Write and edit user guides, installation manuals, API documentation, release notes, and other technical documents to meet the needs of different audiences.
Conduct regular reviews and quality checks to ensure consistency, adherence to style guides, and compliance with industry standards.
Take part in the product release process, continuously update and maintain existing documentation to reflect product changes, enhancements, and updates.
Research, gather, and understand technical information from various sources, including engineering specifications, product prototypes, and interviews with subject matter experts.
Work closely with product managers, developers, and other team members to ensure technical accuracy and completeness of the documentation.
Collaborate with the marketing and customer support teams to create effective content that aligns with the company&039;s brand and messaging.
Organize and structure information in a logical and user- friendly manner, ensuring clarity and accuracy.

Qualifications and experience

Experience working in the payments and/or financial services industries an advantage.
University Degree Qualified in a Tech or Business field.
Proven experience as a Technical Writer or in a similar role, preferably in the technology/payment industry.
Experience working with Australian customers and understanding the Australian culture is an advantage.
IELTS 6.0 or equivalent would be beneficial.

Key Skills

Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style.
Creative skills and usage of photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users’ understanding.
Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross- functional teams.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to understand complex technical concepts and effectively translate them into clear, concise, and user- friendly documentation.
