Textile/Footwear Laboratory Manager

Manage Textile and Footwear laboratory and maintain a high level of technical compliance and quality performance for the laboratory of consumable products testing. Optimize the team organization and productivity as well as all aspect of the textile / footwear laboratory operation in a good discipline. Act as technical expert of the Textile / Footwear laboratory, responsible in developing/implementing new testing method and regulatory requirements.

Budget planning.
Manage and improve operations workflow, processes and resources, to ensure work effectiveness and efficiency in the laboratory;
Provide technical advice on new test capability development;
Operate the management system and ISO 17025;
Review chemical testing data and approve test report;
Develop and implement new testing method and regulatory requirements;
Analyze and identify training goals and needs; design and deliver training;
Review and approve chemical test methods, SOPs, WIs and datasheets;
Understand client request/instruction on test requirement(s);
Identify potential issues in the laboratory; analyze and provide timely resolution of technical problems;

Degree or above in Chemistry / Textile or Materials Engineering related subject, e.g. Chemical Engineering or Textile / Materials Engineering

At least 5 years management/supervisory experience in textile / footwear testing laboratory operation.
In-depth knowledge of ISO 17025 and accreditations requirement;
In-depth knowledge of textile apparel and footwear safety standards/requirements in various countries.
Good trouble shooting and supervision, leadership skills;
Able to manage the test instrument such as Tensile strength, tearing strength machine, etc..
Fluent in written and spoken English and Vietnamese
Good communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills;
