• This role is also responsible for continuous development of HSE capabilities, programs, standards, tools and supporting implementation at the offices, warehouses, R&D centre, sales field in SEA and manufacturing facilities in Vietnam.
• The primary purpose of the role is to provide strong leadership to Mondelēz Vietnam on Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) initiatives, meeting and beyond legislative requirements, to provide direction and guidance for planning and implementing HSE standards and drive for Interdependent HSE Culture across entire Vietnam business and coordinate commercial HSE initiative and standard implementations across SEA.
• Responsible for the achievement of HSE objectives and targets in order to deliver compliance, get to interdependent culture and achieve continuous improvement in Zero harm journey & protecting our planet.
• The incumbent has a key leadership role in fostering a sustainable culture across the business by engaging and coaching Vietnam leadership team including Sales, CSL, Warehouse and Office colleagues to ensure that Mondelez AMEA is positioned with health, safety and environmental performance as a key differentiator for our shareholders, our people and our customers to be “Living HSE, Delivering Value”.

Commercial HSE Leadership
- Drive visible Felt Leadership behavior across whole business in Vietnam and in SEA Commercial units.
- Lead initiatives to create a ‘HSE as a value’ and Interdependent culture across the business.
- Lead and coach Commercial leadership & Plant Leadership to provide and deliver agreed HSE plans in line with the Regional & BU HSE strategy and objectives.
- Actively live MDLZ values in all dealings with internal and external stakeholders.
Build “Interdependent HSE Culture”
Proactively coach, engage and influence country leadership and all function colleagues in Thailand and Malaysia to progress the culture maturity.
Grow HSE capability
- Provide training and coaching, guidance to sales, offices, manufacturing sites and warehouses on HSE standard implementation and correct the deviations
- Understand MDLZ HSE standards, share best practices/learnings within Vietnam organization and wider BU, Region.
- Establish consistent approach within countries or in all of the areas where applicable
- Provide coaching and mentoring to members of the Country Leadership Team, Site Leadership teams, Site HSE teams, HSE pillar teams etc, on health, safety and environment issues as required.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training across the region, including competence for skill trained.
Drive Operational Excellence: Deliver Technical Programs and Technology and Action driven Sustainability
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and MDLZ HSE Standards, advise sites/commercial on any changes or updates as required.
- Manage, update and monitor HSE database (Enablon system), conduct trend analysis and report on key findings, including overdue and corrective action status.
- Ensure HSE incidents are reported and investigated as per protocol within MDLZ guidelines and information is shared across BU and AMEA region.
- Drive initiatives/programs to achieve Zero incidents, less energy consumption/carbon emissions, water consumption and total waste minimization.
- Liaise with senior management, external consultants or Regulator/Authority if required during serious incident management
- Follow up and track the action plans till closure, validate the effectiveness of actions on critical risks/issues/findings.
- Proactively coach, engage and influence country leadership and all function colleagues in Vietnam to progress the culture change
- Ensure HSE incidents are effectively investigated to identify root causes to ensure no recurrence.
- Support the achievement and maintenance of safety and environment accreditation, specifically OHSAS 18001 and ISO14001, SMETA etc.
