Upholstery Coordinator

Job purpose: Ensure all aspects of the upholstery business including R&D, Technical, Operations, Quality, etc... meet the company&039;s target
Job scope: Including and not limited to upholstery areas in the following areas: R&D, Technical, Quality
Responsibilities
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Ensure final upholstery templates are correct and updated
Check and communicate realistic consumption of fabric and leather to Costing Team
Ensure product development according to recognized protocols, standards, and schedules
Control & improve UPH BOM
Review samples with the R&D Team, and with TechnicalTeam

QA / QC

Regularly tour department for review of the production, to ensure the product is produced as was intended.
Work closely with internal QA/QC and engineering teams to ensure product integrity is met at all times

PRODUCTION

Ensure yields of materials (fabric and leather) are correct according to estimation and b.o.m.
Supervise cover fit, test run & pilot run
Ensure that process, procedure are strictly followed in upholstery shopfloor
Assist the Senior Upholstery Manager as requested in creating internal standards
Ensure product changes, improvements,s or issue solutions for inline items are deployed to production
Transfer engineering package to production

Qualifications

Knowledge of high-end upholstery manufacturing
At least 5 years of experience in the upholstery industry
Teamwork - build collaborative relationships with connected and supporting departments
Able to take initiative and ownership of assigned work projects
