Position Title
Elementary Teacher - Full Time - Seasonal (Summer) for boarding camp
Overview of Position
We are looking for an experienced seasonal Elementary teacher for Point Avenue’s Summer Boarding Camp. PA Summer Boarding Camp is aimed to help our students take their first steps towards awareness, to help tie in the use of our 21st century skills for a better future. Working Times & Dates:
From 8 June 2021 to 23 July 2021: 48 hours per week (full-time)
Locations:
Yen Tu Legacy - Thuong Yen Cong Commune, Uong Bi City, Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam
Responsibilities and Duties
Class preparation
- Develop and issue educational content including notes, tests, and assignments.
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities in a timely manner.
- Use a curriculum that meets the Point Avenue standards. The curriculum is created by Point Avenue but may be adapted based on the -teacher&039;s experience with the content.
- Review lesson plans and curriculum and modify accordingly throughout the term.
Class management
- Maintain student accountability and safety of students (i.e. attendance, behaviour management, end of day student pick up) to encourage a productive learning environment.
- Teach the lesson plans based on course objectives.
- Supervisor activities and physical training.
- To ensure a high standard of teaching and to help our teachers to develop as professionals, managers will periodically observe classes and share feedback with teachers.
After class activities
- Document students’ progress (i.e. progress reports and parent communication).
- Maintain parent communication with support from local course consultants.
- Assign and grade homework, assignments, and tests.

Qualifications
- Authorized bachelor’s Degree in Education or another related degree.
TESOL/TEFL/CELTA Certification is a must
- C1 Test for teachers from ESL countries
- Having experience teaching English to students of a variety of age groups from 7 to 18 is an advantage.
- Having experience working in a boarding camp is a plus.
