Vessel/ Barge Planner Supervisor

Make vessel berthing schedule, closely contact with shipping agency, pilot company and tug service vendor to ensure vessel berthing and un-berthing smoothly and safety.
Acting on hazards when they are reported, ensuring safety is implemented in planning and performance management processes, carrying out inspections and rectifying irregularities.
Prepare working roster for vessel and barge planning staffs according to headcount requesting for operations.
Control working procedures and make a proposal for process improvement to Planning Manager.
Monitor vessel pre-stowage planning and make sure it is done in accordance with loading instruction from shipping line and Chief Officer.
Responsible for direct report to Planning Manager.
To co-operate with related parties & yard planning supervisor to solve any troubles to ensure high yard utilization and minimum congestion, incident.
Create vessel define in system and document all related information for future use.
Managing safety and the effective implementation of the safety rules within areas under the job holder’s control.
Reinforcing correct safety behaviors, reporting all hazards and incidents and completing assigned actions.
Attend to vessel and barge planning work in case of need or cover for staff on leave to ensure the work is closely controlled.

– Good communication and leadership skills.
– Good knowledge of vessel stowage, navigation condition, tidal, yard planning & control.
– Graduated from University majoring in Maritime or Transportation.
– Over 2 years working in Container Terminal/Shipping Lines as Supervisor or working on ship as Chief Officer.
– Good in Microsoft Offices, Terminal Operating System.
– Fluent Vietnamese and English.
