Android Developer (Camera App)

Job Description

Handle bug analysis, localization, and resolution.
Lead requirement analysis, design, and implementation.
Analyze and resolve Camera- related functional issues.
Maintain and develop Camera systems for intelligent cockpits.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with application, system, ISP, and hardware teams to ensure seamless integration.
Develop new camera features and optimize the end- to- end capture pipeline (framework → HAL → ISP → app).
Analyze, reproduce, and resolve camera- related issues including preview stability, capture failures, performance bottlenecks, and compatibility problems.
Participate in system performance tuning: start- time optimization, latency reduction, memory usage, thermal stability.
Maintain and enhance the Android Camera Framework and related services (CameraService, CameraProvider, Camera HAL).
Handle bug triage, root- cause analysis, and deliver fixes for framework/HAL/system- level camera issues.
Provide technical documentation, design proposals, and participate in code reviews.

Must- have

Proficient in Java/Kotlin (framework/app layer) and C/C++ (native/HAL layer).
Solid understanding of Android Camera Architecture:
Camera HAL (HAL1/HAL3)
CameraService / CameraProvider
Buffer queue, stream configuration, metadata
Image pipeline (preview/capture/video)
Strong analytical and problem- solving skills; able to work independently.
Experience in mobile camera development (Android Framework, Camera HAL, ISP pipeline).
Strong debugging skills using logcat, dumpsys media.camera, systrace, perfetto, adb tools, device- specific tools.

Good- to- have

Experience with major SoC platforms: Qualcomm / Mediatek / Exynos.
Familiarity with ISP tuning, multi- camera synchronization, HDR pipeline, computational photography.
Proficient English communication (written & spoken).
Experience with Camera App development (UI/UX for photo/video modes).
Knowledge of Android system components: SurfaceFlinger, MediaCodec, GStreamer/OpenMAX, GPU/CPU performance.
Ability to work under pressure and deliver high- quality solutions.

13(th) month salary.
