Associate Scrum Master

Support sprint execution and commitment tracking.Assist in facilitating daily stand- ups, sprint planning and track sprint progress and commitment health, flag risks and blockers early to the Scrum Master, and help maintain visibility of work status across the team.Coordinate backlog refinement logistics.Schedule and prepare refinement sessions with PO/PM and the team, ensure stories have necessary documentation (like ACs, estimability) before sessions (meet DoR), take notes on decisions and open questions, and follow up on action items to keep the ready backlog healthy.
Facilitate communication across locations.Serve as the Ha Noi point of contact for the Payment team, ensure smooth information flow between Ha Noi and Da Nang team members, and help bridge any coordination gaps due to location split. Detect change drivers early (scope shifts, risks, dependency changes), facilitate re- commitment discussions with Product Manager and the squad, document “why/when” clearly, and communicate impacts transparently to stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous improvement.Collect feedback and data for retrospectives, help document improvement experiments and their outcomes, and support the adoption of new practices within the squad.
Assist in incident and blocker coordination.When blockers or incidents arise, help gather information, track resolution progress, update relevant stakeholders, and document outcomes for post- incident reviews.
Support cross- squad dependency management.Identify and track dependencies impacting squad delivery, drive follow- ups with owners in other squads, and escalate unresolved risks early to ensure dependencies do not surprise or block committed work.
Support onboarding into squad context.Help run onboarding sessions for new squad members on Scrum flow, Jira boards, ceremonies, and squad norms using established checklists.

Proficiency in applying the Scrum framework and Agile principles.
Proactive mindset with eagerness to learn and take initiative.
Adaptable and open to feedback, with a collaborative team spirit.
Experience in engaging with customers to understand requirements and constructively evaluate their feasibility.
Proven problem- solving and conflict- resolution abilities, with the capacity to analyze and resolve issues quickly.
Good communication skills with ability to facilitate small group discussions.
Expertise in using Jira or similar project tracking tools.
Comfortable working in a distributed team environment across locations.
Proficiency in English communication (written and verbal).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in software project management.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle for Web and Mobile applications.
Nice to have:
Scrum Master certification (e.g., PSM) is highly desirable.
Familiarity with UI/UX principles and best practices is an advantage.
Exposure to payment systems, subscription models, or fintech domains.
