Chief Accountant

KHUMSUB is a growing international trading company specializing in Asian food and consumer goods. With operations across Southeast Asia, our Vietnam entity plays a key role in supply chain management, import- export operations, and regional coordination. We are now seeking a qualified and experienced Chief Accountant to lead our financial operations in Vietnam.
As Chief Accountant, you will oversee all financial and tax- related matters of KHUMSUB Vietnam. You will ensure compliance with local accounting standards and corporate policies, manage financial reporting, and support decision- making with accurate and timely insights.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain up- to- date knowledge of local tax laws and regulations affecting the business
· Manage tax declarations and liaise with local tax authorities (VAT, CIT, PIT, etc.).
· Ensure compliance with Vietnamese regulations, internal controls, and corporate governance.
· In- depth knowledge of VAS, tax regulations, and corporate compliance in Vietnam.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with VAS and company policy.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or Chief Accountant Certificate is required.
· Lead accounting in Vietnam and ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping, reporting, and compliance.
· Oversee budgeting, cash flow planning, and financial forecasts.
· Strong attention to detail, problem- solving skills, and leadership ability.
· Experience in VAT refund
· Experience with accounting software (e.g., MISA, Odoo, or equivalent).
· Manage VAT refund process end- to- end
· Validated experience in Organizations with Import- Export operations
· Coordinate with sales and logistics team, as well as external auditors, banks, and service providers.
· Support management with financial analysis and insights for strategic decisions.
· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or Chief Accountant role.
· Fluent in Vietnamese and proficient in English (both written and spoken).
