We’re looking for a dynamic Purchasing Specialist to handle procurement activities for production materials at our Vietnam manufacturing site. You’ll manage sourcing, supplier development, and cost optimization – both in NPI and mass production phases – while working closely with global teams.
Job description
Purchasing Tasks prior SOP
• Coordinate purchasing activities to meet targets on cost, quality, and delivery timelines
• Ensure smooth supplier ramp- up and SOP readiness
• Identify and qualify local suppliers (mainly in Vietnam)
• Represent Purchasing in cross- functional project teams
• Lead cost- down and supplier escalation processes when needed
Purchasing Tasks after SOP
• Conduct supplier benchmarking and price negotiations
• Act as global purchasing lead for selected new products
• Manage supplier relocations and relevant change requests
Additional Tasks:
• Provide input for supplier performance evaluation
• Global purchasing lead for defined new products to be introduced
• Create/maintain material master data in ERP (SAP)
• Handle direct/indirect purchase orders as needed
