Job Purpose
The Commercial Planning & Pricing Executive plays a key role in supporting pricing governance, sales planning, forecasting, reporting, and commercial performance analysis. The role requires strong analytical capability, data handling skills, and the ability to translate business data into actionable insights to drive revenue growth and margin improvement across B2B channels.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Management
• Monitor compliance with approved price levels and pricing policies
• Coordinate with Sales and Finance to manage pricing exceptions
• Review and analyze monthly pricing by customer and channel
• Support pricing setup for New Product Development (NPD)
• Analyze pricing gaps and margin impact
Sales Planning & Performance Tracking
• Conduct variance analysis (Target vs. Actual vs. Forecast)
• Track baseline, new SKU, new account, and productivity metrics
• Support development of sales plans by team and channel
• Provide analytical insights and improvement recommendations
• Monitor key KPIs including growth, GP performance, and planning accuracy
Reporting & Business Analysis
• Extract and manipulate data from ERP/CRM systems
• Build performance tracking models for revenue, margin, and incentive
• Conduct deep- dive analysis on customer performance, product mix, pricing effectiveness, and ROI of trade investments
• Support management review presentations with structured analysis
• Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reports (Power BI / Excel)
Demand Forecasting
• Support periodic forecast adjustments
• Consolidate demand forecasts from Sales teams
• Validate assumptions and identify anomalies
• Monitor forecast accuracy and perform root cause analysis
Strategic Planning Support
• Conduct portfolio analysis (Hero / Volume Win / Attack / Drop)
• Support AOP planning by channel and team
• Assist in target allocation and tracking
• Prepare performance analysis for management review
Incentive Calculation (Support)
• Cross- check data accuracy with Finance
• Assist in evaluating incentive scheme effectiveness
• Support sales incentive calculation and payout validation
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting
Process & System Improvement
• Collaborate with IT to improve data structure and reporting automation
• Contribute to building centralized reporting and data warehouse initiatives
• Support enhancement of pricing and sales planning processes
• Maintain data accuracy across master data (Customer, SKU, Pricing)
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related fields
Experience
• 1–3 years of experience in Commercial Planning, Sales Analyst, Pricing, Business Analyst, RGM, or FP&A roles
• Experience in FMCG or B2B distribution is preferred
Technical Skills
• Strong Power BI skills (dashboard building, DAX, data modeling)
• Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, complex formulas, data modeling)
• Basic to intermediate SQL (data extraction, joins, aggregation queries)
• Experience working with ERP/CRM systems
• Understanding of data structures and business reporting logic
Soft Skills
• Proactive and able to work under pressure
• Detail- oriented and highly accurate with numbers
• Strong analytical and problem- solving mindset
• Business- oriented thinking (not only reporting but insight- driven)
• Good communication skills to present data clearly
