Cost Accountant

- Cost System Development & Maintenance:+ Design, implement, and maintain accurate costing systems for materials, Labor, and overhead.- Cost Analysis & Reporting:+ Study and collect data to determine costs, compare standard costs to actual production costs, and provide variance analysis to management.- Inventory Management:+ Ensure accurate costing of raw materials, work- in- progress, and finished goods, and assist with stock reconciliations and cycle counts.- Budgeting & Forecasting:+ Develop and manage budgets related to costing issues, providing forecasts to support financial planning.- Product Costing:+ Play a role in costing new products, providing data- driven insights into product profitability.- Financial Reporting:+ Prepare monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports for decision- making.- Process Improvement:+ Partner with operational and production teams to identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.- Month- End Close:+ Assist with month- end close activities, including journal entry review and account reconciliations.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and manufacturing processes.- Excellent analytical, problem- solving, and critical- thinking skills.- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.- Proficiency in IT skills and accounting software.- Good communication skills to educate operational teams and present findings to management.- A bachelor&039;s degree in accounting or a related field is typically required.
