Database Administrator

· Providing support to database related support issues
· Work in a structured and methodical manner following industry best practices
· Be supportive and open to change and contribute to continuous improvement and evolution of the development team function
· Implementing and maintaining database maintenance tasks
· Ensuring performance and general database optimisations
· Engaging in strategic capacity and architecture planning
· Helping with TSQL, PSQL and MySQL Scripting
· Ensuring seamless database operations across various environments
· Help advice l1/l2 support analysts
· Reviewing Data and data related requirements

· Either a degree or foundational course that covers object orientated programming
· Experience working with MS SQL, PostgreSQL and MySQL
· Knowledge of Python, MongoDB, Data Lakehouse, Airflow and Kafka are advantageous.
· Proven track record in SQL database performance tuning
· Experience working with development and support teams
· Demonstratable experience of development. Either some time in industry or personal projects
· Database design & development
