Demand Planning Executive

* Responsibility:- Analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors to create accurate predictions of future customer demand, collaborating with cross- functional teams to gather insights, and utilizing forecasting models to optimize inventory levels and support sales and operations planning by proactively identifying potential risks and opportunities in the market; essentially ensuring the right amount of product is available at the right time to meet customer needs.Key responsibilities may include:* Data Analysis:- Analyzing historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities, and other relevant data to develop accurate demand forecasts.* Model Development:- Creating and maintaining statistical forecasting models using advanced techniques to predict future demand patterns.* Collaboration:- Working closely with sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain teams to gather market insights, customer feedback, and align demand forecasts with production/shipment plans.* Trend Identification:- Monitoring market dynamics, economic factors to identify potential demand shifts and adjust forecasts accordingly.* Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP):- Participating in S&OP meetings to present demand forecasts and collaborate on inventory management strategies.* Risk Assessment:- Performing scenario analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities impacting demand and develop contingency plans.* Forecast Monitoring:- Regularly monitoring forecast accuracy, identifying deviations from actual demand, and taking corrective actions to improve future forecasting.* Reporting and Communication:- Presenting demand forecasts and insights to key stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations.* Process Improvement:- Identifying areas for improvement in the demand planning process and implementing new methodologies or tools to enhance forecast accuracy.

- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data manipulation and statistical analysis techniques- Expertise in forecasting methodologies (e.g., time series analysis, moving average, exponential smoothing)- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross- functional teams- Proficiency in demand planning software and tools- Understanding of supply chain dynamics and inventory management principles- Business acumen and ability to interpret market trends and economic factors
