Director of Recreation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Director of recreation is responsible for overseeing and managing all wellness, recreation, and leisure activities within a hotel, resort, or wellness center. This role ensures that the guests have access to high- quality, engaging programs that enhance their well- being, relaxation, and fitness and will work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.
• Financial acumen and experience managing budgets, forecasting, and achieving revenue goals.
• In- depth knowledge of wellness trends, fitness programs, yoga, and recreational activities.
• A degree in Hospitality Management, Recreation Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Certification in wellness or fitness- related fields (e.g., fitness instructor, yoga teacher, spa management, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple programs and tasks simultaneously.
• Proven experience in managing wellness, recreation, or leisure programs, ideally in a hospitality, resort, or spa environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage guests and collaborate with cross- functional teams.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, and problem- solve effectively in a fast- paced environment.
