Embedded Engineer

Job Summary
Steam For Vietnam- We are seeking an Electronics Engineer passionate about robotics and education to design, prototype, and optimize mechanical–electronic systems for our line of educational robots. You will work at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, developing reliable, safe, and cost- effective robotic solutions for students and schools.
Key Responsibilities

Debug and troubleshoot low- level hardware and software issues using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers.
Develop, optimize, and maintain embedded software and firmware for humanoid robots.
Collaborate with mechanical, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration.
Integrate and interface with sensors, actuators, and communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet, etc.).
Optimize power management and energy efficiency of embedded systems.
Develop schematics and layouts, optimize PCBA for motion control, power management, sensors, and communication modules

Hands- on experience with low- level driver development.
Proficiency in C, C++ for embedded systems.
Strong problem- solving, analytical mindset, detail- oriented, ability to debug complex hardware and system- level issues.
Passion for robotics, education, and building products that matter in the STEAM space.
Effective communication and collaboration: ability to work in cross- functional teams (mechanical, software, product, manufacturing).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in embedded systems development, preferably in robotics.
Strong understanding of embedded software architecture and design patterns.
Understanding of communication buses and protocols such as Ethernet, EtherCAT, Serial, SPI, and I2C.
