Environmental Engineer (for Construction, Labor contract Till June 2026)

PROJECT OVERVIEW
The development, financing, construction, commissioning, ownership, operation, and transfer of the Vung Ang II 2x600 MW (net) imported coal- fired thermal power plant located within the Vung Ang Economic Zone in Ha Tinh Province, Central Vietnam.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The day- to- day
• Monitoring the Company’s environmental performance against internal and external compliance targets
• Implementing and driving environmental strategies and policies
• Communicating with key stakeholders regarding environmental performance
Key responsibilities
• Promote awareness of the impact of environmental decisions across the Company
• Prepare environmental permits, license, report and waste exemptions when necessary
• Manage the environmental management system
• Represent the Company in public hearings and consultations in relation to environmental matters
• Oversee the Company’s management and policy adherence in relation to pollution control, environmental health, carbon foot- printing, biodiversity, responsible procurement, waste management and recycling
• Build awareness of environmental legislation and identify and lead to the prevention of any potential contravention of regulation and consent compliance
• Build relationships with external environmental service providers
• Lead on environmental investigations for significant incidents
• Keep up- to- date with the latest environmental legislation with Vietnam and international regulation and legislation
• Manage service agreements and contractors working with the Company on environmental compliance projects
• Report the Company’s environmental performance to key stakeholders both within and outside the Company including to regulatory bodies
