Wordpress Dev Senior

JOB DESCRIPTION

Build and edit website pages within the HubSpot CMS, including custom modules, templates, and landing pages.
Lead the implementation of complex WordPress features and troubleshoot challenging technical issues.
Take ownership of deployments and resolve production issues with minimal supervision.
Estimate technical effort, identify risks, and propose appropriate solutions for projects.
Build and maintain WooCommerce stores, including custom product types, checkout flows, payment gateway integration, and store configuration.
Plan and execute A/B tests (layout, copy, CTAs) using tools such as Google Optimize or native platform testing, and analyze results to inform decisions.
Ensure code quality, performance, security, and SEO best practices across assigned projects.
Review code and provide guidance to Mid- level and Junior developers when needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Proficiency with modern JavaScript (ES6+) and solid working knowledge of React (JSX, components, hooks, state management) as applied to WordPress block and plugin development.
Experience with accessibility (WCAG/ADA) and Core Web Vitals optimization.
Hands- on WooCommerce experience: building and customizing stores, product catalog management, checkout and payment gateway integration, and extension/plugin customization.
Strong experience in custom theme and plugin development.
Experience with Docker and local development environments.
Advanced custom Gutenberg block development using React; ability to architect reusable block libraries and define block patterns for project- wide use.
Deep understanding of WordPress hooks, template hierarchy, REST API, and database structure.
Experience troubleshooting complex issues related to performance, third- party integrations, and production environments.
5+ years of hands- on WordPress development experience.
Experience with A/B testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Google Optimize, VWO, or native platform testing); ability to set up tests, interpret results, and implement winning variants.
Strong problem- solving skills and ability to make technical decisions with minimal guidance.
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and automated deployment processes.
Advanced ACF usage including ACF Blocks, Options Pages, and programmatic field registration; familiarity with ACF Pro features.
Good written and verbal English communication skills (B2+ level or equivalent) for technical discussions and project updates.
Ability to mentor other developers and perform code reviews.
Experience building and editing websites on the HubSpot CMS platform, including custom module development, template design, and HubL templating.
Solid testing and coding standards: PHPUnit for unit/integration tests, Jest for JavaScript, full adherence to WP PHP/JS/CSS coding standards, and enforcement through PHPCS, ESLint, and Stylelint in CI pipelines.
