Position:
The Environment Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs across VinFast&039;s manufacturing facilities. You will provide comprehensive training to employees and contractors, collaborate with internal departments to ensure EHS compliance, and represent VinFast in interactions with external stakeholders regarding EHS and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) matters.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with manufacturing shops and other departments to initiate and guide the implementation of effective EHS control programs.
- Stay current on evolving environmental regulations and industry best practices in the EV manufacturing sector.
- Liaise with relevant internal departments (e.g., Engineering, Production) to ensure EHS considerations are integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
- Assess qualifications, follow up, and close the corrective action after evaluating the waste collection, transportation and treatment service providers.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive environmental documentation, including permits, reports, and records, to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits by lenders, investors, and regulatory agencies to maintain positive EHS & ESG ratings.
- Conduct environment compliance checklist and prepare report on non- compliance items to submit to leaders.
- Coordinate with related parties to prepare environmental impact assessment report (EIA) and Environment permit for new projects at VinFast factory.
- Coordinate with other departments/workshops to conduct environment monitoring and supervising contractors to conduct monitoring and disclose the final environmental monitoring results to communities.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in EHS performance.
- Plan and implement environmental protection campaign(in the factory area and surrounding communities)
- Update the environmental monitoring plan according to the requirements in the EIA, Environment permit and IFC standard.
- Develop and deliver engaging training programs on EHS topics for employees and contractors.
- Prepare and conduct ISO 14001 internal auditors for workshops/departments and conduct implement/follow- up corrective actions according to annual reports.
