Integration Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
GEM is looking for Back- end / Integration Engineers to design, develop, and maintain healthcare system integrations. The role involves working with HL7 v2 messages, FHIR resources, and implementing solutions using Microsoft BizTalk Server and Logic App.

Work with at least one messaging platform: Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, Kafka, MSMQ, or equivalent.
Design and implement messaging & integration patterns: pub/sub, FIFO, request/response, fire- and- forget, retry, dead- letter queue, etc.
Manage logging, tracking, and relational database (SQL) operations.
Perform data mapping and transformations based on business requirements.
Implement integration solutions using Microsoft BizTalk Server and Logic App, including BizTalk Mapper (schemas, maps, functoids) and orchestrations.
Develop and maintain solutions using C / .NET, integrating with REST/SOAP APIs.
Analyze, design, and develop HL7 v2 messages (ADT, ORM, ORU) and FHIR resources (Patient, Encounter, Observation).
Support debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting for integration flows.

Solid understanding of healthcare data and workflows.
Experience with messaging patterns and at least one messaging platform.
Fluent in English.
Strong debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting skills.
Proficient in HL7 v2 and knowledgeable in FHIR.
Hands- on experience with Logic App and Microsoft BizTalk Server.
Strong skills in XML/XSD/XPath/XSLT and system- to- system data mapping.
Proficient in C / .NET, REST/SOAP APIs, and SQL.
