Job Summary
Steam For Vietnam- We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer passionate about robotics and education to design, prototype, and optimize mechanical–electronic systems for our line of educational robots. You will work at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, developing reliable, safe, and cost- effective robotic solutions for students and schools.
Key Responsibilities

Design complete mechanical systems for educational robots: chassis, drivetrain, manipulator arms, joints, gears, transmission systems, linkages, and protective covers.
Work closely with electrical and embedded teams to ensure mechanical- electrical integration (PCB fit, wiring, heat dissipation, connectors, mounting).
Fabricate and test prototypes using 3D printing, CNC, laser cutting, and rapid prototyping tools.
Optimize design for cost, durability, mass production, and maintenance (school environment constraints).

Hands- on prototyping experience and good workshop skills.
Hands- on experience in mechanical product design (preferably robotics, consumer electronics, toys, or educational devices).
Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent.
Passion for robotics, product design, and education.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes: plastic injection molding, sheet- metal forming, machining, 3D printing, assembly fixtures.Knowledge of motion systems (gears, bearings, belts, linear guides, DC/servo motor coupling).
Experience with tolerance for precision assemblies.
