LAUNDRY ATTENDANT

Responds to changes in the Laundry functions as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.
Exercises responsible behaviour at all times and positively representing the hotel team and Hyatt International.
Operate the equipment accordingly e.g. sort, weigh, wash, dry, iron, fold and package guest laundry and dry cleaning, uniform (if needed).
Ensures that all working equipment function properly, following instructions and report to Team Leader of any equipment malfunctions and related incidents, including those of guest garments.
Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Perform other unexpected duties as requested e.g. cleaning spills; follow up on special guest requestsAssist other Housekeeping attendants in maintaining clean public areas.
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the entire work area
Pick up / deliver uniforms from / to linen room.
Assist to hand out / collect uniforms.
Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
Supports the implementation of the People Brand, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt’s Values and Culture Characteristics.
Provides a courteous and professional service at all times.
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned and in order to adhere to health standards.
Reads the hotel&039;s Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel&039;s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.
Maintains strong, professional relationship with relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners and other organisations.
Hand over items found in the linens and sorting areas immediately to Team Leader.
Log, tag and package guest laundry.
Pick up / deliver laundry / valet from / to guest rooms.
Ensures all empty trolleys are stacked neatly after working shift and ready for the next shift.
Handles guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst providing a prompt follow- up.
Attends and contributes to all training sessions and meetings as required.
Ensures surrounding areas are kept clean at all times

Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures, tools, and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Previous housekeeping experience in a luxury hotels/resorts is an advantage.
Familiarity with safe use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Basic communication skills in English.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
